Why Mercedes-Benz bought GM

After Mercedes-AMG bought out GM in 2009, the automaker decided to put its name on a whole slew of products.

So the automaking giant decided to buy out a number of GM products.

The car brands now are all named after the company.

One of the products the automakers are using for this is the Mercedes-branded Volvo XC90 SUV.
